I had a very pleasant 6 nights stay at Alim,s villa Khatum Guesthouse which is located in the quite part of Mala (old part panaji), less the 10 minutes walk the historical centre and 15 min wallk to bus stop.
Planty of place to eat and drink nearby.
The guesthouse have a kitchen with utensils which is a huge plus especially for breakfast

Everything was as stated and described. We were shown the room and given clear information regarding the stay. Room was clean and the dining area with its utilities (mini fridge, tea/coffee supplies, etc.) were convenient. Shiva (and the other caretaker) was helpful in procuring a needle and some thread for me in a pinch. My friend and I are thankful to them for making us feel comfortable. This is the kind of place one can stay for longer duration and work out of. The table in the room comes with stools though, not a chair with backrest. However, one may find the common seating spaces outside useful for that.
Additional tip for future travellers (unrelated to the listing itself, but relevant if staying here and walking around a lot)- beware of dogs at night. We're dog friendly people, but some on the streets there tend to get a little territorial particularly at night. Locals were helpful with this.
