some construction noise in the morning but I think that could happen anywhere in Athens. Overall it’s a pretty quiet spot.
We only had an issue with check-in, since we never got the key to the lockbox, but that was sorted. Other than that, I would highlight that the elevator is particularly noisy and can be heard inside the apartment every time it is called or used.
pros: the hosts are nice and accommodating. Everything is close, groceries, pharmacies, cafes and restaurants, shops and museums as well as public transportation.
The building is nice and clean which is not a given in Athens.
The flat itself is spacious and has lots of good amenities. It was clean and it looked like the photos. The kitchen is big and I cooked a lot in it. I was missing a rolling pin & my host brought one to me which was very kind. I used the laundry room as well. Having 2 bedrooms and 1,5 bathrooms is great.
cons: it's on the 1st floor and it took me a while and several strategies to be able to sleep at night as it is very loud, with bedrooms giving on a busy side street which keeps getting used throughout the night. It is a darker flat but that is mitigated by good light options inside.
I do recommend it overall and would stay again.
