Going to a cabin for New Year’s Eve is a family tradition for two families. Our kids for the past six years have been doing this every Christmas Eve and we have a second Christmas. This host was willing to take in our dogs which completed our family. The pricing was great location was awesome. We only wish it snowed so that the kids could play in the snow in the big area saw lots of elk and deer And the living space was very cozy. The bedrooms were very nice ample space this is a saved cabin for the future. Thank you for your hospitality and making another year I rememberable one.

The place is comfortable overall but I think the images (at the time of writing) shown on the listing is outdated. While the house has a slightly updated kitchen, it is an old property overall. You could see rust in the showerhead, other fixtures and fittings are truly worn. There were also a lot of expired food items in the cupboard, felt like no one had properly tidied up the place in a while. Another issue we experienced was the heating vent in one of the room we stayed in was stuck, not allowing hot air to heat up the room, so it was a little cold at night but tolerable. Gas heating in the living area was nice though. Overall, it felt that the house is going through renovation bit by bit but a major update is recommended. Location was great, only a few minutes from midtown Ruidoso. Being surrounded by nature is also a plus.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. So much care and attention to detail made this cabin a very enjoyable place to lodge. A charming Christmas tree all lit up and a jolly Santa awaited us. What a special and unexpected surprise!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this precious little cabin, we will carry fond memories of this getaway trip!
