The back porch was huge and relaxing, tons of space. And the hiking trails are the best kept secret in Illinois, hands down. We will be back, what a special place and space!

Highly recommend this place!! The Phantom Canyon trail within the camp and the Cedar Falls trail by Packentuck road both were amazing! Search online for the blog Midwest Nomads and Camp Ondessonk for trail descriptions and photos of the waterfalls. We also went zip lining at the Shawnee Canopy Tours 40 min away but probably could have just kept hiking trails at Camp Ondessonk that day. We stayed...

This is the second time that we have stayed. Everything as expected. The lodge is very well equipped in the kitchen. Gorgeous views and the fireplace was well used by us this winter. Cozy and very much like home...maybe better!
