The cottage is in a perfect location for walking to all parts of Bar Harbor. One block from shopping, restaurants and the pier. Very short maybe 5 minute walk to bar island during low tide. Highly suggest booking this place because it truly is the perfect location for Bar Harbor.

We cannot imagine a better place to stay when visiting Acadia! The apartment is spotless and every detail and convenience was thought of and supplied. We enjoyed watching the sun come up every morning from the deck and listening to the owls and saw some deer from up there too. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals, if you like. We cooked breakfast each day. The owner is just the best! And we have always had great experiences with owners. He was just so kind and helpful. We had lots of questions about the area and the home he built and he was patient and generous and kind. It was hard to find the place but that was not his fault- there just happened to be a glitch on the app. The agent, Acadia Cottage Rentals, put the correct address in a message to us, but the address information on the "Trip" portion of the app was incorrect. It was a minor inconvenience that I'm sure will be corrected soon. It did not spoil this wonderful getaway!

Location…location…location! My wife and I had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed our week stay. We walked to all the restaurants and touristy shops. Acadia was no more than 10 to 15 minute drive. Would stay here again!

This is our 3rd year at this Cottage, and we loved it all again. So much so we’ve already booked our time for next year. The cottage is wonderfully rustic, spacious (for 2 adults and a medium-sized dog) and just remote enough for privacy, but not too far from the town of Southwest Harbor (~5 minutes) or Bar Harbor (~25 minutes). There are wonderful hiking trails within a half mile distance down by Long Pond, which our pup loves. You can also kayak on the pond! All in all, this Cottage is a perfect place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park!

This place was perfect, exactly what we were hoping. I will say to that it is larger than what it looks in pictures. We enjoyed listening to seals in the evening and Loons in the morning. Coffee and quiet sounds of nature in the morning or a glass of wine for sunset. It was an ideal, central location that allowed us to explore the island easily. Downtown Bar Harbor is overrated so we were glad to have a place a bit more secluded. Sweet Peas is a must do. We had a fabulous dinner and it's located with Bar Harbor winery only 15 minutes away. The cottage had everything we needed. Schoodic Point and Peninsula are worth the 1 hour drive. Other highlights were driving Park Loop Road and renting bicycles at Acadia Outfitters in Seal Harbor for a day of riding the carriage trails.
