Great place, just wish it was closer to activities and restaurants. Seems like we had to drive a lot. It is centrally located (we drove both north and south) just wish it was closer to some of the activities or places to eat. On average it was 15-20 min to go grab some food or do anything.

The Villa and setting are absolutely perfect. It’s about an hour and a half from Florence by car. You can get a car from the airport for about €150 or they will set up a transfer for you. We rented a car, and that was helpful. Not 100% necessary. The host greeted us with a beautiful lunch and was extremely helpful in setting up whatever we needed to do. There is a medieval town about three minute walk from the villa with one bar that is really open. The town of Gaiole is about a half an hour walk and has lots of restaurants and bars.
