This chalet should not have been let out in its present state. There was no hot water, except in the shower, many light bulbs were missing. Towels only supplied after a phonecall. Upstairs smoke alarm was in a drawer. There was no folder of instructions. Never rented anywhere where we’ve had to pay into an electric meter and similarly never rented anywhere where there has been no toilet paper at all. The rear decking was a disgrace. Weeds everywhere and barbecue rusty and furniture filthy. There was also a discarded wooden chair in the front garden. And the front looked nothing like the photo in the ad. On the upside the beds were very comfortable. We have experience of letting holiday places and if we had let our place go like this one, the agents would never have represented us. Isn’t the chalet checked before letting?
