Mike’s place was nice, clean, and as described in the listing. The only problem that was completely out of his hands, was the terrible smell from Margaritaville Property Mgt Co. not cleaning up the trash-filled, sargassum seaweed on their beach. The water was literally brown. We stayed on the lower property near to the main pool & restaurant that’s right before their strip of beach. The stench somehow would actually wake us in the middle of the night. We could not use our private balcony, main pool or the restaurant next to the beach because the smell made us sick to our stomach. The staff stated it gets bad this time every year and that it’s gone by November. Not sure why they wait until it’s completely out of control before they manage it. Literally ALL then other beaches on St. Thomas and St. John kept their beaches managed and usable. Margaritaville made zero effort. They will need tractors and dump trucks to clean it all up.

Amazing place. I will definitely return, it was very clean and felt like home. There was a full kitchen area, many closets and doors, and even a sliding door that separated the rooms creating a private space. The pool was beautiful and there were walkable restaurants. The hotel is located in an area where there can be some road conditions so keep that in mind if you are driving. All in all the hotel staff was amazing and the room was even better. We will be returning.
