Our first stay on Captiva since the hurricane . The house was totally redone and very nice. The neighborhood is still under construction as well as many parts of Captiva and most all of Sanibel. However there was very little construction noise or bother while we were there.

We had a terrific stay. The house was exactly as described in the photos. We were a bit nervous about condition of the house and the area after the hurricane. The house had been completely restored - we could tell from destruction in the neighborhood that there was damage, but couldn't tell in the house what was new vs old.
We had a minor issue with the hot tub, the button to turn it on wouldn't work, so the hosts turned it on remotely when I texted them. They were very friendly and responsive.
The house was perfect for our family of 11. Plenty of space for everyone. A short walk to the beach in one direction and the town in the other direction. Cute stores in the area. Although some stores and restaurants have not yet re-opened after the hurricane, there was enough of what we needed (restaurant, ice cream, gift shop, beach shop, market) so it was fine.
I definitely recommend this house for anyone traveling to Captiva Island.

South Seas Beach Villa was a beautiful location on Captiva Island. Wonderful to see the shops and restaurants opening back up in the area, all walking distance or short drive. The airbnb was very clean, updated and nice comfortable space to hang out. The beach, birds, shells and sunsets were spectacular. We really enjoyed our stay with our family.

The property & its location were absolutely beautiful. We chose it because of the private access to the Gulf of Mexico and to the bay. The house was just as described and very comfortable. We loved observing the many ospreys around our house - such a special gift! We rented bikes & enjoyed exploring the island, having great meals at RC Otters, the Shipyard @ Tween Waters, Doc Fords on Sanibel & delicious take out from Cantina Captiva. Bailey's General Store on Captiva and Jerry's on Sanibel were fantastic for groceries. Visits to Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge were a highlight. Overall we had a fabulous family vacation. We did have some maintenance issues with both the hot tub and the washing machine that took several days to be rectified, and visits to the house by professionals. While not ideal, we understand that there are some challenges during this time of recovery from Hurricane Ian. Thank you for sharing this wonderful spot with us for a restful family vacation!
