This was a really cute home. We stayed twice in one month. The house was located on a private inlet, right on the water yet was still very conveniently located near shops, stores and the Bowdoin campus. It was super clean and I really wish we had been able to stay during the late summer. The porch is ideal. Very good instructions and the text communications were very helpful. The cottage was beautiful and the location on the cove couldn't have been any better! It was a real treat watching the lobster and fishing boats go out, right in front of the cottage. They were catching our dinner! During our mid-October stay, the cottage was warm and comfortable inside.
We were surprised to find how long it took to travel from one "finger" on the islands to another, even though distance-wise it's just a few miles. Plan your activities accordingly.
There will be additional contracts to sign if you book this property, and most communication will not be on the Airbnb platform. We had no issues, so not a problem for us. Overall, it was a nice stay.
