I built this dataset because more investors than ever are looking to buy property overseas — for better climate, lifestyle, asset protection, residency options, and access to fast-growing markets.
The file helps you quickly see which countries match those goals, side by side, before you drop into a city or a listing.
What's in the file
The full dataset is a CSV of 100 countries — every country with more than 3,000 active Airbnb listings — in the same format as the examples below.
- Active listings. How large the country’s short-term rental supply is
- Markets with 500+ listings. How many cities are large enough to research in depth
- Foreign land ownership. Whether non-residents can buy, and with what restrictions
- Residency by real estate. Golden visa / citizenship-by-investment thresholds, if any
- Average temperature. Climate for lifestyle and seasonality
- Population and GDP growth. Demographic and economic backdrop
- Property prices. Low / mid / high relative to the rest of the set
- Revenue, occupancy, ADR. Typical Airbnb performance at country level
