We enjoyed it very much , we have been going to Captiva island for 40 years and this was our first stay outside the homes of distinction in south seas . We actually extended our stay here. There was an issue with the pool the first couple of days but they got it cared for and we liked it enough that we would rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Captiva Star!! The house is even better than it looks in the pictures! Great, spacious open kitchen and living room area. Huge outdoor screened in porch that was great for hanging out and enjoying all meals of the day. American Realty was responsive and helpful for all of our needs. Would be great to have a box of trash bags and some additional soap to start out with, but they replenished for us whenever we asked. Couldn’t have been more happy overall!

This was our 3rd time in Captiva and our first time staying on Laika Lane. The location of the house is excellent. It makes for an easy walk to the beach and to the shops and restaurants. Overall, the home worked well for our family of 4, including our two small children. The home was comfortable but could be improved by expanding just a few amenities like laundry detergent for more than 1 load, a beach cart to take items to the beach, some kitchen towels, and a fridge with filtered water. We bought large bottles of water for our stay because the tap water was not good. The property manager is very responsive and we very much appreciated our late checkout. Overall, a great stay!
