We arrived in the dark and I must say that waking up to that view in the morning sun was truly phenomenal! Waves crashing, pelicans flying by.
It was just what we had hoped for (quiet, peaceful, relaxing) but with just enough things to do for fun (lots of swimming at the pool, beach walks, lounging in hammocks, walking to nearby restaurants or shops for popsicles and cervezas). We took taxis to get around (to and from the ZIH airport and Troncones), which was very simple and straightforward (I was glad to not have to bother with a car rental). The staff and other condo owners/guests were all friendly and welcoming. The kids loved the iguanas, birds, and other wildlife.
There was a bit of confusion at the time of booking (I gather because things were changing behind the scenes with the property management) but it all worked out in the end. We would go back in a heartbeat!
The penthouse is a beautiful 3 bedroom open plan living area, lots of seating. Beach Bliss (onsite management) are located in the area and were able to assist with groceries, local recommendations, information and were very friendly/helpful. Contacting via AirBnB it was a bit spotty but once onsite, using Wh**App was super fast/easy.
The unit had all items needed and if we needed anything Beach Bliss would assist quickly. There was a power outage while there for one evening but that was the only real hiccup. In room pool is quite shallow (like to the knee deep) but was a nice perk with the main pool overlooking the ocean. You can swim in the ocean here with a bit of caution (as expected). Bugs were fine but be aware of sand fleas if walking around at night by (wash feet/legs when returning to the unit.
We would highly recommend the rental for a relaxing and comfortable vacation.
We come to Mexico twice a year. Our trip includes 1 week in zihuat and a few days in troncones. Generally we stay in Tronocones however wanted to spend more time in Playa Mahuajua.
Punta Mahuajua is a beautiful condo at the point in Playa Mahuajua. This is not in Troncones.
Travellors not familiar with this location -note that this is 45 min walk from troncones. Cabs or a rental car are a must.
Playa Majuhua is known for fishing, beach walking, and spending quality time with your lover and yourself. You will not see many people and this is the beauty of the location.
We rested, relaxed and were safe here with plenty of local dinning and drinking options, and would take cabs to Troncones frequently for dinning/ shopping.
We would stay here again and Myra with Spazio was responsive and give use what we needed when we needed it.
