It is in a remote location opposite a farm. Appleby is about 10 mins by car where there is a co-op. Morrisons and Aldi are in Penrith about a 30 mins drive. Lots of local walks to do from the cottage and Ulswater is 40mins away by car. The hot tub was a great addition with lovely views over the fields. The landlord was very responsive when we asked for extra towels. I would highly recommend this accommodation.
The communication with the team based at Dorfold Hall was easy and any questions were promptly responded to. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful nature of the cottage and the surrounding gardens and would certainly recommend for anyone visiting the area.
