Pros - gorgeous home, great location, very responsive host, great service, amazing chef, can’t beat Casa de Campo overall.
Cons - If you do not speak Spanish it is very difficult to communicate with staff.
Initially I was informed that we could submit grocery list ahead of time, then it changed to once we arrived, we had to manage all the shopping or pay extra to cover taxi fees for staff to go which was never informed ahead of time. Booking directly with Casa you never have to deal with this headache. I want to choose menu and have everything handled for us, not grocery shop while on vacation.
Casa concierge is not as attentive to requests since you did not book directly. This is not against host, outside of their control, but is worth noting and consideration when booking as a villa guest.
Checkout and departure communication was lacking.
