The bad: Apartment had only been superficially cleaned: Floor dirty under bed and couch; cupboards and some dishes sticky/greasy; wool blanket unwashed, smelly and had someone’s hair on it; stains on sofa pillows, squashed mosquitos with shoeprints on the wall etc.
Lack of maintenance: broken kitchen window handle and bathroom door handle; strong damp-moldy smell in cupboard under kitchen sink; huge spot on the bathroom wall with a half-done renovation with coarse cement; bed linen, towels with permanent stains etc. On many days no cold water, only scorching hot.
After having cleaned everything myself, I liked the place despite the mentioned issues. If the hosts improved the standard, it would be a great apartment.
