I stayed here for 4 days with friends. The entrance is really unassuming because the place is quite big and modernly furnished. We did some cooking while there and the kitchen was well kitted for this. The bathroom is huge, the shower large and the temperature control smooth.
I stayed in the rear bedroom and, as a very light sleeper, was quite amazed how quite the place was, despite being between other properties. My friend who stayed in the front bedroom also said he had no difficulty sleeping. The hot tub was ready immediately from arriving, and was clean and comfortable, although I'd be wary using the bubbles at night as it can be a little loud.
We walked everywhere in York; city center 25 mins away for Jorvik, York army museum, Clifford's Tower, Yorkshire museum, cocoa house, the Hilt axe-throwing. Really close to plenty of choices of restaurants like Terrazina right next to it which was really good for only 80 pounds for 5.

Great location just off Bootham. Easy access via coded box. Light and airy. Quiet. Comfortable bed. The shower room is small. With only a half glass door, water from the shower spills out into the rest of the room. The bath mat becomes sodden. Neither the mat nor the towels dry in the damp room and there was no drying rack elsewhere. A drying rack would be useful. It has all the kitchen equipment needed for a short stay. There is a capsule coffee machine but no capsules are provided. Apart a few cartons of UHT milk, teabags and instant coffee, nothing was left for guests. It would be nice to provide a few basics such as milk, proper coffee for the cafetière or capsules for the machine, biscuits or small provisions. Many places have a welcome pack of that sort. A good place for a weekend stay in the city.
