You do need to ask for the correct address with Gabriella before getting a taxi from the airport. It's not the one listed here. I had to walk to the guesthouse from the incorrect address with my luggage 10 mins up and down hills with dogs, scooters and cars skimming me after a 40-hour journey! Then there was some confusion about the key and which room I was in.
Bearing in mind it's next to mini jungle, it's actually not so bad re: bugs and stuff. In my stay, I only saw the millipedes come in, and some long worms in the shower. I did wake up in the middle of the night with a black leech on my arm, which was more interesting.
All in all, for the price it's a fair deal. You're amongst the elements in the tropics.
I managed to find the key after. But still didn’t know where to go also there was a barking dog inside the property, which belongs there (he’s nice and will leave u after he got to know u) but it scared the shit out of me in the dark without anyone around so I had to scream for help till some other guest came. Also he showed me where my room is because I wasn’t able to find it.
I was in the room 106. I would say it’s one of the nicest rooms. Compared to the others this didn’t smell moldy BUT big downer, the internet connection didn’t reach this room at least very poor so it wasn’t possible for me to work there. The staff will only clean on request. Some towels had yellow stains on them and the blankets had some kind of oily stains, don’t know what it was.
Besides that it was fine.
